Job Description – Sr. Software Developer
Location – Bangalore (Hybrid)
Working as part of Schneider Electric's Developer Experience Team you will own and manage one or more applications for Schneider Electric's software platform team. You will own the Software development of the complete application you are building and automate wherever required.
As part of this, you will be required to:
• To be able to build Software using API development
• To be able to automate various mundane activities using Python/Perl/Shell scripting
• Perform technical trouble shooting of infrastructure and application setup to solve problems.
• If needed, engage and work with vendors to support and maintain these application(s).
• Contribute to the overall vision and architecture of the software application life cycle management tools for Schneider Electric.
• Engage with the software development community in Schneider Electric in a variety of channels
• Keep updating your knowledge on software life cycle management and DevOps and stay current with the best practices in the industry.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of overall experience in the software domain & 2+ years in API development and automation.
• Java developers with strong knowledge on API development
• Automation using Python/Perl/Shell scripting
• Good knowledge of database, any RDS
• Good to have knowledge on Figma
• Technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software.
• Hands on experience on one of the software analytics and static code analysis tool
• Good knowledge on the cloud infrastructure: AWS/Azure.
• Ability to craft well designed scripts in Perl, ANT, Python etc. and ability to write code in various scripts and languages.
• Ability to independently research, design and plan
• Expert working knowledge on Operating systems both on Windows & Linux.
• JS frameworks – Angular, React, Node JS is good to have
• Excellent communication skills
• Should be capable of handling multiple projects/efforts in parallel.
• Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with Business stakeholders to solve moderate to complex technical problems.
• Reliable, flexible, and determined. Empathic communicator, able to see things from the other person's point of view. Must be process and detail-oriented and able to document and present information to stakeholders.
Education: Bacherlors or Masters in Engineering, preferably specializing in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics & Communication
