Job Description
AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations, from foundational services such as Amazon's Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS's services and features apart in the industry.
As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
Role Overview
In this role, you will own and build critical AWS services in Textract, Bedrock Data Automation (BDA), and Recognition in the machine learning and generative AI field. This area requires solving the hardest engineering challenges to enable machine learning powered solutions for our customers.
You will deliver some of our most strategic technical projects, deliver large scalable systems, design new software systems, and have a significant bottom-line impact on our business and competitive position.

Drive Technical Vision and Strategy: As the Sr SDM, you will play a crucial role in shaping the technical vision and strategy for the team. You will work closely with stakeholders, product managers, and scientists align your roadmap with business objectives.
Agile Methodologies and DevOps Practices: You will champion agile methodologies and DevOps practices within the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, automated testing, operational excellence, and efficient software delivery and release.
Collaboration and Communication: This role involves working closely with Product Management, UX Design, Applied Science, and Engineering Leadership across multiple teams in Bengaluru, SEA, Bellevue, and NYC. Effective collaboration and communication skills are essential in this role to ensure alignment and seamless integration of efforts.
Requirements
10+ years of engineering experience
5+ years of engineering team management experience
10+ years of planning, designing, developing, and delivering consumer software experience
Experience partnering with product or program management teams
Experience managing multiple concurrent programs, projects, and development teams in an Agile environment
Experience designing and developing large-scale, high-traffic applications
