This position provides Software Reliability engineer on new product development teams for RD CoE (Center of Excellence ). The candidate will be a key player in cross-functional teams and serve as a technical representative for software reliability and quality functions.
As part of RD project teams (Center of Excellence ), the Software Reliability Engineer will define, contribute, and execute the overall software reliability related programs. This position will work with multidisciplinary teams and provide leadership for Design for Reliability (DfR), guidance to technical issues, engagement in design and risk reviews, and contribute to development activities.
• A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
+ Develop Software Reliability plan, Software Reliability Strategy and update it when required.
+ Creating and update the Software Reliability confidence model.
+ Allocate Software Reliability goals to subsystem or module level based on current design
+ Perform Software Reliability prediction based on the input received from SW/FW teams.
+ Develop Software Reliability Growth strategy.
+ Compile Software Reliability summary reports.
+ Monitor post launch Software Reliability.
+ Ensures that test cases used for Software Reliability verification/validation are correct.
+ Review of software documentation (requirements and risk)
+ Confirm compliance in accordance with IEC 62304
+ Provide support, as needed, for IEC 60601 Clause 14 assessments
+ Review/support software tools validation
+ Perform as needed testing and submitting anomalies to development
+ Lead software Design for Reliability within the project.
