The Opportunity:
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will utilize superior knowledge and experience to perform highly complex product design, systems analysis, research, maintenance, troubleshooting and other programming activities. You will drive innovation for both team and product development.
You are great at:
• Produce high quality code according to design specifications
• Detailed technical design of highly complex software components
• Analyse, troubleshoot, and fix highly complex code defects
• Strong hands-on technical skills including demonstrable coding/scripting skills
• Propose creative solutions or alternatives balancing risk, complexity, and effort to
meet requirements
• Lead software design/code reviews to ensure quality and adherence to company
standards
What it takes:
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Computer Science or related engineering degree with equivalent experience
• Experience across all aspects of the software development cycle including analysis/design, implementation, integration testing, and release management
• Knowledge in Java, J2EE, JavaScript, Web Services, REST API & Micro services
• User interface design and GUI web application development using HTML5/CSS/JavaScript/Ajax
• J2E application server development in Java for JBoss, WildFly and TomEE
• Relational database integration and SQL using JDBC for Oracle or PostgreSQL
• Good understanding of Web security aspects
• Good understanding of Virtualization technologies: VMWare, Docker, Kubernetes & cloud deployments
• Excellent communication and time management skills
