The Role: Sr. Software Engineer, Application Development
The Team
We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and skilled senior software engineer for Sustainable1. This developer would help us to accelerate our ESG Analytics work.
The Impact
As a developer, you will be part of a development team that manages and supports the internal applications that is supporting ESG datasets. This role expects a candidate to handle any data processing, big data application development.

Responsibilities
• Design, and implement software components
• Perform analysis and articulate solutions
• Design underlying engineering for use in multiple product offerings supporting a large volume of end-users
• Develop project plans with task breakdowns and estimates
• Manage and improve existing solutions
• Solve a variety of complex problems and figure out possible solutions, weighing the costs and benefits
Basic Qualifications
What We’re Looking For:
• Bachelors/Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent
• 5+ years’ experience in application development
• Strong C#/Java and SQL skills
• Proficient with software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies like Agile, Test-driven development
• Familiar with oracle database, able to write optimized SQL queries.
• Must be able to work in ES6 Javascript and code competently without relying on a framework
• Proficiency needed in React>16.8, NodeJS, Yarn/NPM, jQuery.
• Should have knowledge about MVC JavaScript frameworks (e.g. AngularJS)
• Unit Testing with Jest, Integration Testing with Cypress, Cucumber or puppeteer
• Expert level command expected on HTML5/CSS3, Experienced with responsive, adaptive and cross-browser design
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of Java + Spring Boot based backend systems
