Team: Edge Foundation: Edge Content Delivery (EF ECD)
Level: IN4
Location: Bangalore, India
Purpose: DevOps for Torbit Proxy in stores and DC deployments, consolidating several different vertical proxy solutions reducing complexity and costs.
What You Will Do
• Join a fully distributed team that operates an international content delivery network (CDN), large scale clusters of reverse proxy servers and DNS-based (GLB) and in-line (layer 4 and
• layer 7) load balancers.
• Act as a SRE to troubleshoot operational problems at the network, host and application levels.
• Use configuration management systems to deploy and update software installations on
• thousands of hosts
• Build tooling to provide monitoring and alerting for key systems and provide automated and
• manual issue mitigation solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Mathematics or 5 years of applicable industry experience
• A familiarity with Linux or UNIX (HP-UX, Solaris, SmartOS, AIX, etc) systems administration
• o Interactiveandscriptedbashpower-userskills(bashfluency)
• o Familiaritywithcommandlinetools
• Experience in using one of the following configuration management technologies: Salt, Ansible, Puppet, Chef
• Experience in using one of the following cloud providers: Azure, Google Cloud/GCE, Digital Ocean, AWS
• Experience in using Terraform to provision and manage infrastructure as code
Preferred Qualifications
• Familiarity both with RHEL/Centos and Debian/Ubuntu OSs and package management
• Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana
• Experience using Salt Stack configuration management
• Experience using Kubernetes (K8)
• Fluency in Go and Python
• Deep troubleshooting and debugging skills,
• Experienced in customer interaction and handling escalation
• Should be able to handle/debug customer issues
