About this role:
Senior Software Engineer will provide technical expertise in designing and building Master Data Management solutions or other Chief Data Office initiatives to meet the shifting organizational demands. This role will be responsible for building services based on MDM data and integration with all-consuming systems across Gartner. You will be part of the CDO execution Team to work on MDM program or warehouse. MDM brings data from multiple sources and enriches the information using validation/standardization and dedupe process. MDM is a centralized hub for contact and account domain across Gartner which standardizes and enriches information and shares across multiple systems within Gartner. Enrichment also includes to fetch latest and greatest data from multiple vendors and sharing information across systems within Gartner.
What will you do:
• Responsible for reviewing and analysis of business requirements and design technical document
• API development to enrich information with different vendors.
• Expose the services based on MDM data to end users.
• Build UI for business users to call different services to fetch required data.
• Help build defining best practices & processes.
• Collaborate on Data Management architecture and technical design discussions.
• Perform and participate in code reviews, peer inspections and technical design and specifications, as well as document and review detailed designs.
• Provide status reports to the higher management.
• Maintain Service Levels and department goals for problem resolution.
What you will need:
Strong IT professional with 6+ years of experience in Java. The candidate should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must have:
• Experience in Java API and Web Service development
• Minimum 1 year of experience analyzing data with SQL.
• Hands-on experience in the development of REST services and clients (JSON/SQL)
• Hands on experience in UI technology (React, NodeJS)
• strong aptitude for writing and testing efficient code.
Nice to have:
• Good understanding of business process and analyzing underlying data
• Experience with Agile methodology and working within Agile development teams.
• Knowledge in Python and cloud technology (AWS, Azure) and exposure in cloud tools
