Job Description
What's the role?
Work closely with product owners and developers to verify and validate modern web applications.
• Ensure commercial quality in products using manual and automated testing.
• Participate in requirements analysis to write test strategies and test plans.
• Author, code, execute, and debug integration and acceptance test cases that execute locally and within a CI infrastructure and/or container.
• Own large areas of the product and work with minimal guidance in these areas.
• Identify, investigate, file, regress, and close bugs.
• Analyze test results and triage defects effectively with product owners and developers.
• Implement tooling for testing and build tasks that improve the development team's efficiency.
• Define, execute, and analyze performance tests for web applications.
Who are you?
• BSC. in Computer Science or equivalent, with 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance or testing. 2+ years of experience testing responsive single-page web applications.
• Solid understanding of QA best practices and the software development lifecycle.
• Demonstrable experience with modern web application testing tools like Cypress and Selenium. Methodical debugging skills especially in web debugging and analysis tools such as Chrome Dev Tools.
• Ability to understand and create automation programs in Java/JavaScript.
• Expertise with modern web development tools E,g, React, NodeJS, npm, webpack, ESLint, and Docker.
• Understanding of HTML + CSS + JS/React. Understanding REST and Mocking services to test UI Failures or exceptions.
• Experience with load and performance testing.
• Experience with shell scripting and version control systems.
• Experience working in an Agile DevOps environment and CI/CD build systems, e.g. Jenkins or Gitlab is an advantage
