Sr Software Engineer - Java8/Scala, AWS

What's the role?
Who are you?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/IT or comparable field
• 4+ years of software design and development experience
• Demonstrated understanding of algorithms and data structures.
• Understanding of both functional and object-oriented programming
• Experience building and enhancing production applications
• Proficiency in Java and Java EE technologies
• Strong problem-solving skills and comprehension of basic test methodologies
• Familiarity with common build tools (, Maven, CI/CD - Jenkins and GitLab)
• Knowledge of cloud-computing services, especially Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Nice to have
• Experience writing code in Scala is a strong plus
• Ability to write scripts in Python, Ruby or Unix/Linux shell scripting (Bash)
• Exposure to containerized software solutions, especially Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB and Redis
• Proficiency with big-data technologies like Spark, Hadoop M/R, Hive or Pig is a plus
