Job Description
3 to 5 yrs of experience in Power BI+ SQL
Hands-on experience with thorough knowledge of scripting, data source integration and advanced visual development in Power BI
Good to have knowledge on Tableau, Thoughtspot, Cognos, Bobj.
Knowledge in Role Based access (good to have)
Performance tuning of BI reports
Excellent skill in writing Complex DAX Queries
SQL Server/PL SQL Database Skills (must have strong knowledge on the databases complex query, joins, functions and procedure)
A deep understanding of, and ability to use and explain all aspects of, relational database design, multidimensional database design, OLTP, OLAP, KPIs, Scorecards, and Dashboards.
Good understanding of Data Modelling Techniques for Analytical Data (i.e. Facts, Dimensions, Measures)
Excellent Business User communication skill.
Good to have knowledge on Tableau, Thoughtspot, Cognos, Bobj.
Required Technical Competencies
Requirement Gathering & Analysis :
Specialized knowledge of requirement management processes & tools, analysis process, tools & methodologies
Able to extract functional & non-functional requirements & document a system/software requirements specification in complex scenarios, prototype / design a prototype for demonstration to stakeholders
Able to analyse the impact of change requested/enhancement/defect fix, identify modules impacted, features/functionalities impacted & arrive at high level estimates
Able to develop traceability matrix for requirement management, conduct technology / business gap analysis ,identify transition requirements for the engagement
Application Design:
Working knowledge of design principles & performance engineering concepts
Able to decide on document templates, standards & best practices, on tools & frameworks to be used
Able to create UI / Design & business logic elements & constraints, navigation, screen flow & layout
Create traceability matrix based on requirements, document design in modelling notation / project & customer preferences, develop reusable/ reuse technical design components/frameworks
Architecture tools & frameworks:
Working knowledge of architecture Industry tools & frameworks
Able to identify pros & cons available tools & frameworks in market, use tools & frameworks , explore new tools & framework
Estimation & Resource Planning:
Working knowledge of estimation & resource planning techniques (WBS, FP etc.)
Able to identify & assign the resources required to complete the task, use appropriate estimation models based on the project scope for medium-high complex scenarios, track & report gaps & actual spends
Technology/Product Knowledge :
Specialized knowledge of product/platform & associated technologies
Able to implement code or configure/customize products & provide inputs in design & architecture, drive adoption of industry standards/practices
Able to create optimized code, adheres to the low level design, review the code
Work on complex modules ,contribute to development of reusable assets, innovative solutions
Customer Management :
Working knowledge of, customer business domain technology suite in client's context
Able to use the latest technology & build it into client engagement, articulate & communicate
Able to convince the customer on the technical solution, approach/estimates
Project Management:
Working knowledge of customer business domain, technology suite in client's context
Able to use the latest technology & build it into client engagement, understand the customer business & pro-actively suggest solutions which will lead to additional business.
Domain/ Industry Knowledge:
Specialized knowledge of customer's business processes, relevant technology platform or product
Able to prepare process maps/workflows/business cases/apply industry standards
