Our Digital Service Line is currently looking for industry-leading seasoned Python professionals with hands-on experience.
The shortlisted candidate should have the ability to analyze technical needs and work with the customers to develop project scope of work documents and Project Plans.
The responsibilities are primarily technical, although there is a strong element of functional understanding of the business process.
You are required to have skills in the following areas :
The Data Science team within the Bioinformatics Department uses advanced analytics, machine learning, and deep learning models to create business and scientific value from data. As a member of our data team, you will industrialize data feeds, create pipelines into existing data systems, and facilitate connectivity of data and applied technologies between both external and internal data sources. You will also optimize data quality and implement areas for automation and better data processing. In addition, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting data pipelines and applications.
You will use a variety of tools such as SQL, Python, Apache Solr, Apache Airflow, and shell scripting in a variety of environments (e.g., various databases, Linux servers). You will work in a highly collaborative, team environment where you will quickly be exposed to a wide range of new methods and best practices. You will be responsible for data collection, data integration, automated quality control, and annotation with data analytical skills.
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Science, Mathematics, Engineering, Science, or related discipline with 4 to 6 years of experience in data analysis or data engineering

Master’s degree with 3 to 5 years of experience in data analysis or data engineering
Required Skills and requirements:
Hands-on experience with data collection, data analysis, and machine learning/natural language processing in life science or related field with strong technical knowledge.
Experience with programming, data cleaning, service delivery, and automating analysis or modeling. Familiar with Python and Apache Solr.
Experience in data management. Familiar with database schema including RDBMS (e.g., MySQL) and NO-SQL (e.g., MongoDB).
Documentation and presentation skills for a technical or non-technical audience.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multi-cultural working environment
Experience in Python libraries for text data analyses such as NLTK, Spacy, ScikitLearn, Pandas, and Numpy
Experience with publication databases such as PubMed, PubMedCentral, Scopus, PatBase, FreePatentsOnline is a plus
Strong programing skills in Python with hands-on experience with package like fastAPI / pandas / psycopg2
SQL programing skills is mandatory.
Fluent usage in Git commands.
Hands-on experience with docker tools, candidates should know how to build docker images / containers through docker file.
Knowledge in AWS components (S3 / step function / cloud watch) is a big plus.
Project experience with bio-info tools like RDKit / Prody is a big plus.
Should be flexible to work in shift (13:30 PM – 22:30 PM IST) from office
