The Opportunity
OpenText is looking for an experienced Lead Developer to be a key member of the global El Dorado Architecture team. El Dorado is new and leading service/business integration platform which will serve to unify selling, provisioning, management, and billing (full lifecycle orchestration) of all OpenText Small and Medium Business Products. As a Lead Developer you will work as part of a project team and may interact with the business, Architects, Product Owners, and other developers on the team to define the ideal architectural approach. The Lead Developer collaborates with the team in the design of components and will participate fully in the software development lifecycle. This position provides expertise to project teams through all phases, including post-deployment support. Candidate subsystem technologies, will include React, Angular, Kubernetes/containers, IPaaS, MongoDB, Redis, Postgresql, Elasticsearch, API Gateway Micro Frontend and many other contemporary software enablers.

• Perform in a technical leader / mentor on an Agile, self-managed, self-organized, diverse team
• Deliver customer value by translating business requirements into technologies, iterative deliveries and outcomes that exceed expectations.
• Designing the cloud environment with cloud security principles and data integrity throughout the system
• Lead high-level design discussions
• Identify opportunities and implement processes to improve team productivity
• Participate in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software
• Diagnose and resolve software problems in all environments
• Manage central backlog of agile teamwork items,
• Attend and represent strategic technology topics with company senior management.
• Liaise directly with business stakeholders to understand business problems and propose/drive effective solution architectures
What it takes:
• 6+ years of software development experience with 3 years leading agile teams
• Strong Object-Oriented design skills 5+ years of C#/.Net, Java, C++, or a comparable OO language
• Personal and professional integrity
• Strong planning, analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Comfort with Software Development Life Cycles, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Delivery.
• Experience developing multithreaded, scalable, high-performance applications and services
• Experience with cloud-based software systems
• Familiar with Public/hyperscaler and private cloud technology savvy (e.g. Microsoft Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Experience developing service-oriented architectures (SOA) using WCF, SOAP, or REST, technologies
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines publishing Docker containers to Kubernetes clusters
• Very strong communication skills
• Self-directed with consensus building and (data driven) influence management skills
