The Role: Sr Specialist, Financial Accounting
The Team: Be part of a global accounting team focused on achieving team and company objectives.
The Impact: This position will be assisting the Director Finance, Accounting COE as part of the S&P Global Corporate Controllers organization..
The candidate will manage 1-2 resources to assist with the transition and performance of accounting related activities into the Expense Accounting Centre of Excellence from the business unit finance teams. The team will be responsible for calculating and recording contract driven expenses across multiple business units at S&P Global and reviewing the appropriateness of aged accruals on the Balance Sheet with the Business Unit finance teams. The candidate will also review general ledger control reconciliations and work closely with the Business Unit Finance / Corporate Controllers teams in providing valuable insight into their results and help provide information to drive their forecasts.
The candidate should be proactive in reviewing and redefining the process to achieve an optimal workflow and drive the use of automation, where appropriate, to minimize the time spent on data manipulation.
