SQL Database Administrator & Developer / Senior Database Administrator &
Developer Job Description Minimum Experience: 6 to 10 years . At least 6 years of experience in relational database administration (SQL Server strongly preferred) . At least 3 years of experience in SQL development and automation .
You will be joining a team of database administrators that supports all aspects of the firm's operations and strategic projects .
A typical day will be split between strategic work to enhance the database platform, working with developers to support application delivery and troubleshooting, and operational improvements Database administration projects include:
o Upgrading SQL Server and supporting applications upgrades o Creating Tables, Stored Procedures, Functions, Indexes, and Triggers o Creating SQL Agent and other scheduled jobs o High Availability implementation and support (Replication, Log shipping, Always On, Windows Cluster) o Database authorization/permission management o Experiment with other SQL (Postgres) and No
SQL data stores to help guide the strategic direction of the platform o Backup and restore database for BCP and to support application development SQL Development and Automation:
