Job Description:
Roles and Responsibilities:
· A professional Database Administrator (DBA) will keep the database up and running smoothly 24/7. Responsibilities
· Use high-speed transaction recovery techniques and backup data.
· Work with users and vendors to take timely and appropriate steps to resolve and troubleshoot issues impacting service levels and conduct root cause analysis
Enforce security standards for databases.
· Database administration and management (capacity planning, installation, backup, recovery, monitoring, Performance optimizations, troubleshooting, load/hardware analysis mapping, security etc.)
· Master in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues,
blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
· Creating database tables, setting up indexes, data constraints and DB views Analyze, predict through trend analysis and resolve database system, storage and application issues.
· Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching.
· Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines.
· Review existing software architecture and contribute to improving on the future architecture for stability and a maximum of performance.
· Collect and analyse database performance information; identify and implement solutions for performance problems.
Qualifications and Skills:
· Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
· Hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications
· Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL
· Familiarity with database design, documentation, and coding
· Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and third-party tools.
