Your Role: We are seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to join our Developer Experience team in the SolarWinds Observability engineering org. Our goal is to help our developers succeed by providing an exceptional developer experience. You will work alongside other engineers in an agile development environment and share solutions to advance the technologies running our systems, and make the complex distributed services that deliver our observability platform easy to develop, As a member of the Developer Experience team, you will work closely with software engineers, architects to design and build core toolset and capabilities to allow our developers to bring new features to market quickly. Your Impact: • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop and implement toolset focusing on improving the developer journey • Create and maintain a seamless onboarding experience so new developers have quick access to tools, resources and documentation that helps them succeed quickly • Build and maintain various developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, libraries that enhance productivity and streamline developer workflows • Support our developers through various means fostering a vibrant developing community and providing assistance and resources whenever needed Your Experience: • Bachelor’s degree with 12+ years of industry experience, or Master’s degree with 10+ years of industry experience • Experience in building cloud native applications based on microservices and event driven architecture • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes environments and experience of running applications for Kubernetes environment • Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and technologies including but not limited to GitOps • Experience with software development in multiple programming languages (Python, Golang) • Experience working with one or more cloud platforms like AWS, Azure. Knowledge of IaC using Terraform is a plus • Excellent DevOps acumen with strong operational excellence mindset.
