Process Overview
Application Engineering and Integrationis responsible for re-packaging applications as physical or virtual for the Enterprise, using engineering and automation tools. The team is also responsible for coordinating with other support teams (QA/DMO) to ensure smooth production deployment.
Job Description
Application Packaging Team is responsible for Repackaging Applications using Install Shield - AdminStudio and Sequence Application using MS Application Virtualization for various BU's across the Bank. Apart from Implementing Bank Standards for the application in BAND build (desktop, server) also coordinate with various teams in getting the application requested to be deployed in Prod Environment. Support any issues occurred during UAT. These steps involve troubleshooting of issues, coordinating with deployment teams.
Responsibilities
Creating physical packages for bank's business applications using Admin Studio for client and server environments, Windows 7, windows 10, & Windows server 2008\2010
• Creating virtual applications with Microsoft App-V Sequencer with 5.x version & Install shield for Windows 7 & Windows 10 environments
• Independent team player taking the ownership in handling business applications for windows based environment
• Troubleshooting installation\functionality wise issues for applications engineered within the bank
• Writing scripts in Powershell, Vbscript, & Wise Scripting based on the requirement
• Effective communicator with the users for supporting end users for troubleshooting issues on business applications engineered by the team
• Creating software objects and making them available in Microsoft SCCM for client
Requirements
Education :- Any Graduate
Certifications If Any : Windows OS is preferred
Experience Range 2 -4 Years
Foundational skills
• Knowledge on Windows 7 & 10
• Technical knowledge on Flexera AdminStudio & PowerShell Scripting
• Application Virtualization using App V
Desired skills
• Minimum of 12 months experience in Application Packaging
• Good working knowledge on Windows Installer Technology
• Good Scripting Knowledge
• Excellent working knowledge of creating Virtual applications using Microsoft App-V
• Good working experience in Re-packaging applications using Admin Studio
• Experience in managing SCCM environment and virtual application integration
• Experience on building and managing Virtual desktops using VMware & HyperV Workstation
• Hands on with Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit 5.5 for Application readiness on Windows 10
• Should have worked on variety of Workstation and Server Operating System
Work Timings: 0630 to 1530 , 11:30 to 20:30 & 1330 to 2230 (Rotational shifts)
