Skills and Competencies
5+ years’ expert level experience managing Enterprise Linux production environment
In-Depth knowledge of RedHat Enterprise, Amazon Linux, Red Hat Satellite, and Ansible in a Microsoft domain environment
Proficiency in bash/python scripting and automation using Ansible platform
Experience with Qualys or other vulnerability management products
Experience with hybrid infrastructure, including cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) and VmWare suite
Knowledge of CIS L1 hardening standards.
Experience investigating complex issues and performing corrective actions, proven track record in major incident recovery.
Highly impactful problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Experience with incident and change ITIL processes using ServiceNow or similar tool
Customer focused & solutions driven
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Education
RHCSA, RHCE, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or VCP-DCV are a plus
Responsibilities
Systems Administration: Manage Incidents, Standard Changes and Service Requests using ServiceNow effectively and meet/exceeds service level expectations.
Participate in on-call rotation, weekend support and provide after-hours support as scheduled in the shift roster
Shows up as the Linux expert, lead service recovery and mitigation when major incidents occur. Identify root cause and implement permanent solutions.
Server Build: Leverage your knowledge of RedHat Enterprise to build secure servers using VMware platform and work diligently with the hypervisor team to resolve any challenge.
Patch Management: Use Ansible and Satellite to regularly patch Linux servers and generate reports& review dashboards.
Vulnerability Remediation: identify vulnerabilities using Qualys and remediate them with with the engineering team.
Operating System Templates & Standards: Build/Update/Maintain OS templates to the latest level of patches and CIS L1 hardening standards.
Project Deliverables: Work closely with the engineering teams to ensure deliverables are met on-time and to the highest standard.
Collaborate with other IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation of software and systems for fulfilling business objectives and processes.
Conduct regular system audits and security assessments.
Provide technical support and guidance to users.
Develop and maintain documentation for application configurations, processes, and procedures including SoPs
Work closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure applications and infrastructure meet key operational security metrics.
Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of automation and orchestration.
Interaction across TSG towers and other business support areas for problem escalations, resolutions, reporting and coordination.
