Area(s) of responsibility
Key Responsibilities
• Provide VMware support within the virtualization infrastructure spanning multiple data centers, across multiple VMWare ESX environments.
• Configure and optimize the VMware infrastructure.
• Manage & Maintain VMware infrastructure.
• Creation, migration, cloning, snapshots, backup, recovery and troubleshooting of Virtual machines.
• Good understanding of HA and DRS environment.
• Good understanding of vMotion and Storage vMotion.
• Work with Templates
• Experience in performance tuning of VMWare servers and Virtual sessions and management of servers' resources between virtual machines.
• Working with change tools to maintain client SLAs.
• Monitor virtualization infrastructure and provide advice on capacity requirements.
• In depth knowledge in Windows Server 2012, 2012R2, 2016, 201+ and 2026
• In depth knowledge in DNS, DHCP and file services
• Responsible for troubleshooting OS & server hardware related issues by coordinating with Datacenter engineers.
• Identify issues in Windows environment proactively.
• Troubleshooting and break-fix of issues in Windows
• Health check of Windows environment
• Responsible for applying security patches to windows servers using WSUS & SCCM tools.
• Responsible for building & hardening windows servers
• Analyse server logs & provide root cause analysis during Major incidents.
• Sound knowledge of Active Directory in creating Users, Groups.
