Sr. Technical Program Manager, Account Compliance Technology

💰 $8,960 - $14,336 (Est.) 📍 Seattle

Job Description

Join a high-impact team at the forefront of global compliance innovation, where you'll shape how Amazon navigates complex regulatory landscapes across international markets. As we scale marketplace facilitator obligations across various jurisdictions, we're building the future of automated compliance—orchestrating real-time risk detection to catch sophisticated fraud patterns, and creating adaptive governance frameworks that stay ahead of evolving regulations. You'll lead the development of core capabilities (e.g. holistic risk detection across tax, compliance and general bad actor abuse), partner with operations and tech partners, and coordinate regional leaders to solve unprecedented challenges at the intersection of policy, technology, and seller experience. This is your opportunity to drive decisioning that protects both Amazon and millions of sellers while building systems that set industry standards for compliance excellence.

As a Sr Technical Program Manager on the Global Tax and Account Compliance team, you will own delivery of compliance infrastructure serving millions of sellers across Amazon's marketplace. This role operates at the intersection of organizational transformation, technical and science product development, and cross-functional leadership to combat bad actor fraud and abuse, driving critical decisions about compliance risk controls and platform architecture. This role requires navigating complex stakeholder landscapes across 5+ VP organizations while balancing regulatory requirements, technical constraints, and seller experience. You work closely with product management and other business partners to define strategy and requirements, and lead development teams from concept through delivery and subsequent operation. You're a thought leader, but you don't just know how to solve the problem, you prove it by leading team to build the solution. Lastly, you have a high bar for code quality and passion for design and architecture.
