SR. TECHNICIAN - PRODUCTION Oversees and coordinates production activities, ensures quality standards are met, and provides technical guidance to junior technicians in manufacturing operations.Key Responsibilities:1. Production Operations: Operate, monitor, and maintain machinery or production lines based on standard operating procedures (SOPs). Set up machines or equipment before the beginning of each shift or batch. Ensure optimal machine performance and timely execution of production targets. Maintain cycle time, production rate, and quality as per planning requirements. 2. Technical Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Identify mechanical or process-related issues and troubleshoot them quickly. Conduct minor repairs and adjustments to machines when needed. Coordinate with the maintenance team for major breakdowns and preventive maintenance schedules. Ensure minimum downtime through quick response to faults or abnormalities. 3. Quality Control: Inspect finished products to ensure they meet company standards and customer specifications. Conduct in-process checks and take corrective actions as needed. Report deviations in production quality, and document issues for improvement. Support implementation of 5S, lean manufacturing, and quality tools (like Kaizen, Poka-Yoke, etc.). 4. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain daily production reports including output quantity, rejection data, downtime, and material consumption. Update logbooks, shift handover notes, and maintenance records accurately. Record equipment calibration, machine start-up parameters, and inspection logs. 5. Coordination and Team Support: Work closely with other departments such as Quality, Maintenance, and Stores for smooth workflow. Support Production Supervisor/Manager in achieving daily and monthly production targets. Guide and train junior technicians, helpers, or machine operators on processes and safety. Participate in shift handovers and provide updates to the incoming team. 6. Safety and Compliance: Follow all workplace safety guidelines, use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and emergency procedures. Ensure safe handling of tools, equipment, and materials. Report unsafe conditions or equipment failures to the supervisor immediately. Adhere to ISO, GMP, or other applicable standards based on the industry.
