About the Role:
Content Designer & UX Writer
Who We’re Looking for…
ValGenesis is committed to enhancing our product's user experience. To support this goal, we’re expanding our global team by adding a Content Designer & UX Writer. This role will work closely with our UX designers, developers, researchers, and writers.
As a Content Designer & UX Writer at ValGenesis, you'll be integral to crafting user-centered content. You’ll collaborate with our design team to develop design solutions, structure information, and refine content in mockups and prototypes. You’ll also create and maintain internal documentation such as style guides, voice and tone guides, and glossaries.
You’ll join a talented group of UX professionals and collaborate with the UX research, product, and engineering teams. This position reports to the Senior Director of UX.
Location…
Onsite in our Chennai, Bengaluru, or Hyderabad office (Chennai preferred).
Requirements
Native-level fluency in English (U.S.)
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field
3+ years of experience in UX writing, content design, or equivalent experience in a related role
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills
A portfolio of work that demonstrates a strong understanding of UX content best practices
Experience working in an agile environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams
Ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of user experience (UX) design processes and methodologies
Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for creating inclusive content
Ability to empathize with users and write user-centric content
Experience using Figma and MS Office Suite
Openness to giving and receiving constructive feedback
Ability to think critically about content choices and articulate the rationale behind them
Responsibilities
Write clear, concise, and useful UX content for our SAAS applications (web and mobile versions)
Collaborate with UX designers, UX researchers, product managers, developers, and other SMEs to ensure UX content supports the overall user experience
Create and update content for microcopy, including tooltips, error messages, and other UI elements
Empathize with users and advocate for their needs throughout the UX design lifecycle
Contribute to and maintain the UX voice and tone guide, ensuring all content adheres to established industry and in-house standards
Collaborate with UXR to conduct A/B testing, validate content effectiveness, and gather insights for improvement
Ensure all content is inclusive and accessible, and meets the needs of users from diverse backgrounds and abilities
Conduct content audits and reviews to identify gaps and areas for improvement in the content strategy
Work on and manage concurrent projects at various stages of the design lifecycle
