Candidate will be joining the VMWare Networking & Security BU, working as SRE for the Northstar project, under which we are launching Intelligence & NDR as cloud service (AWS)
Should have SRE mindset, aware of SRE operations. Should be willing to work in shift, which will include nights & weekends as we plan to provide 24x7 support.
A matching attitude to learn lot of new things and capability to learn quicker is MUST.
MUST NEEDED:
Working SRE experience in any cloud – AWS/Azure/Google Cloud
Python automation experience, to develop tools
Knowledge of Monitoring tools – Like or similar to Datadog, Tanzu Observability (Wavefront), Prometheus/Grafana
Understanding of metrics and defining alerts
Kubernetes knowledge – Client Services are K8s based
PREFERRED:
AWS working knowledge
Knowledge in Cloud logging systems – Splunk, LogZ.io, ELK stack, FluentD,
VMWare NSX knowledge
Knowledge of Ticketing/Paging systems – Jira Service Desk, PagerDuty
Experience: 4+ years of relevant experience in the areas listed above.
