The Role Responsibilities
Job Role
Effectively manage multiple Stakeholder demands and expectations while maintaining quality and delivery of support operations.
Effectively lead team of SRE Engineers and transform traditional support operations to SRE Mindset.
Implement Automation and self-healing of applications.
Implement Client Centric Monitoring and Observability based on End user needs.
Provide quality of Service as per Service Level Objectives and effectively manage Operational Level Agreements with upstream / downstream systems.
Maintain Change Velocity vs Stability Balance with an effective Error Budget for application.
Implement Incident Management Practices with blameless Post mortems and driving repeated Incident Themes to closure. Regular review of Alerting, Incidents and reducing their end user business impacts.
Engage Scrum teams and communicate priorities of Post mortem actions and problem tickets to development / delivery team to prioritise and deliver.
Manage and maintain Cyber Risk, Resilience Risk, Stability Risks of application and drive towards low risk environment. Driving right Security patches implementations in non-prod and prod environments.
Engages with Dev Leads, Test Leads and architects to determine strategic direction in terms of application supportability.
Evaluates and implements new technologies personally, in line with bank strategy.
Documents and publishes standards and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
To manage and run a large scale site reliability initiatives for a particular business stream and executing sleuth of development and Improvement initiatives to support the business vertical's.
Identifies opportunity for optimization and implement.
Ensures the Cloud deployments and activities are automated.
Drive Change approval board for effective change reviews.
Identify and improve monitoring and observability.
Review Production changes for error free implementations.
Identify, plan and drive application optimisations and service Improvements to maintain system stability.
Strategy
To function as the domain expert in the core banking team and support the core banking products roll out from a functionality and capability perspective.
To function as the conduit between end users and the all internal CoreBanking teams in doing development for user requirements based on user stories.
To contribute to product management and release management of the core banking products.
Business
Participate fitment workshops, Understand product requirements from PO and Solution Architect and review the product requirements.
Preparation of Program Specifications for capabilities identified for optimisation based on analysis.
Management of changes to the core banking products to ensure that changes are in line with product and release plans.
Maintain issues tracker and Identity RCA for permanent closure of issues.
Lead a team of Developers / Senior Developers and guide them in various activities like System Improvements, Monitorings and Dashboards.
Implementation and Post Implementation support.
Processes
Maintenance and management of improvement capability and other applicable audit documents as per process.
Follow standard Change, Problem Management Process.

BE / ME or Any postgraduate degree with computer science background.
Technical and Functional and Domain expertise in Wholesale / Consumer Banking.
Experience in banking product development and processes would be required.
Exposure to data migration and databases would be preferred.
