About the Position
The Staff Accountant for the Children’s Diabetes Foundation (CDF) is responsible for inputting data, reconciling accounts, processing AP/AR, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, dedicated, detail oriented, excellent at follow through, and willing to learn.
Accounting Functions
● Timely processing of AP and AR
● Prepare monthly journal entries in accordance with (GAAP)
● Conduct monthly reconciliations of bank, credit card, and other accounts
● Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports
● Prepare and load yearly budget templates
● Complete monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting and filings
● Support Finance Lead in fulfilling audit requests
● Support the Finance Lead and other team members with ad hoc financial requests
General Functions
● Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative and positive work environment
● Provide a rapid response to email inquiries and requests
● Attend events and assist as needed in various tasks
Qualifications
● Required minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
● High level of accuracy in data entry and treatment of accounting entries
● Proven track record of following through & delivering on commitments in a timely manner
● Strong interpersonal skills, communication skills, ability to effectively collaborate with others
Benefits
This position is full-time Monday through Friday, non-exempt and in-person, with periodic evenings and weekends. Work location: Aurora, CO.
