Position Overview: As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our finance department, contributing to the implementation of accounting processes, system efficiencies, and compliance initiatives. This role requires strong technical skills, particularly in Excel and ERP systems, to support our ongoing growth and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in the implementation of the inventory module within our ERP system.
• Support the standard costing process for new inventory purchases.
• Collaborate closely with the compliance team on controls and compliance initiatives.
• Participate actively in the annual audit process with external audit firm.
• Work with IT to enhance systems and process efficiencies.
• Undertake special projects as assigned, contributing to strategic initiatives.
• Provide support for commercial fundraising filings.
• Participate in the monthly close cycle, including journal entry creation and preparation of channel view P&Ls.
• Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Document and maintain accounting processes and procedures to improve internal controls and operational efficiencies.
• Analyze and reconcile large datasets from various systems, gaining insights into information flow dynamics.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in accounting roles, with demonstrated proficiency in Excel and ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of inventory management and costing principles.
• Experience with compliance and audit processes.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to reconcile complex data sets.
• Detail-oriented and capable of working independently or in a team environment.
• Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments.
