Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including but not limited to
Preparing federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, businesses, and organizations ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements
Helping client in various industries with their books including audit preparation, reconciliations, and month and year-end close
Developing tax strategies to defer or eliminate tax payments
Bookkeeping for retail, manufacturing, restaurants, and other small businesses
Reviewing financial records such as income statements and documentation of expenditures to determine forms needed to prepare tax returns
Furnishing taxpayers with sufficient information and advice to ensure the correct tax form completion
Quickbooks training and optimization
Keeping abreast of changes in tax law and reading professional publications to maintain professional competence

This permanent position requires a candidate with a strong background in tax preparation and a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations and procedures. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role and a proven track record of success in managing complex financial tasks.

The selected candidate will be responsible for a wide range of tasks including but not limited to

• Strong analytical skills to understand and interpret complex financial data.
