POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our Finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles and experience with key financial systems, including NetSuite. This role will support a wide range of accounting functions, including reconciliations, accounts payable, journal entries, and reporting. It offers excellent exposure to a fast-paced, mission-driven environment with opportunities for professional growth.
This is a hybrid role based at Sampled’s headquarters in Piscataway, NJ, with a required on-site presence 4 days per week.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with the monthly close process, including preparation of journal entries and supporting schedules
Perform bank account and balance sheet reconciliations
Support accounts payable operations, including invoice coding, vendor communications, and processing via Bill.com
Help maintain and track fixed assets and assist with inventory accounting
Assist with biweekly/monthly payroll journal entries and reconciliations
Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports and variance analysis
Support audit preparation, including organizing supporting documentation and schedules
Use NetSuite, Bill.com, and Blackline to execute and track accounting tasks
Maintain effective controls and help improve accounting processes and documentation in collaboration with the Finance team.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
2–4 years of relevant accounting experience (corporate, public, or internship)
Experience in Pharma or professional services sectors preferred
Experience with NetSuite, Bill.com, or Blackline is a strong plus
Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills and analytical thinking
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, etc.)
Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team
Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic environment
Experience in Pharma or professional services sectors preferred
