Job Summary
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team. In this role, you will support the accounting department by assisting with incoming and outgoing payments, data entry, reconciliations, and other essential accounting tasks. The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong mathematical and problem-solving skills. Some experience in financial preparation and analytics is preferred. Project based accounting a plus.
Responsibilities
Prepare customer invoices and submit to client preferred portal and follow up for timely payments
Ensure all bills are coded, authorized and entered into Quickbooks Enterprise Desktop, matching to purchase orders
Reconcile Supplier invoices and obtain when necessary
Reconcile credit card accounts bi-monthly, ensuring all proper receipts are received, and cost codes applied
Weekly Bank Reconciliations
Communicate with vendors and suppliers to ensure accuracy of charges and payments
Analyze financial information and present to management
Prepare Ad-hoc reports as requested
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Monitor General email accounts and distribute information to appropriate channels
Excellent problem solving skills, ability to change , and resolve disputes
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and developments
Work with Global team
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related financial field
1 to 3 years' experience in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable (required)
Working knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping
Good with spreadsheets, experienced in Microsoft Excel, QuickBooks (Desktop), and basic accounting systems
Strong Data Entry Skills
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent attention to detail, time management, and communication skills
Professional experience is required.
