Coinbase is looking for a highly motivated accounting professional to join our Subscription & Services Revenue Accounting team and play a key role in our continued growth and achievement of operational excellence. The Staff Accountant, Subscription & Services must possess strong accounting and operational expertise, an ability to communicate and work with various teams inside of Finance (such as Operations, Product, and FP&A), and a desire to make a meaningful impact on a dynamic, high-growth technology company.
Reporting to the Assistant Controller, the Staff Accountant will be responsible for assisting in all areas of the company’s revenue accounting. This role requires someone with impeccable attention to detail, a financial and analytic mindset, and a strong desire to develop their accounting career at a rapidly growing organization.
What you’ll be doing (ie. job duties):
Support various areas of the company’s revenue accounting, recording daily journals and creating supporting schedules
Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules
Cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Operations, Product and Engineering teams to ensure proper accounting and financial reporting over existing and new product launches
Maintain compliance with internal controls, policies and procedures
Prepare supporting documentation for external audits, including non-US subsidiary statutory financial statements
Perform analytical reviews over financial data to to identify trends / issues
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to operationalize new areas of the business to facilitate streamlined accounting transactions as assigned
Participate in critical accounting projects, including the implementation of new system logics or enhancements
Maintain up-to-date process documentation and procedures as assigned
Support ad hoc financial information requests and analyses and other special projects as assigned
What we look for in you (ie. job requirements):
Minimum of 3 years working in public accounting or in the fintech/financial services industries preferred
BA/BS in Accounting or related field / CPA preferred
Knowledge and experience with US GAAP; IFRS knowledge a plus
Knowledge and experience with SOX and control documentation
Possess excellent analytical skills (MS Excel), business partnering, problem solving and prioritization skills
Able to work well in a dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong work ethic and team player
Nice to haves:
Experience working in Netsuite, FloQast and G-Suite

Pay Transparency Notice: The target annual salary for this position can range as detailed below. Full time offers from Coinbase also include target bonus + target equity + benefits (including medical, dental, and vision).
Pay Range:
$116,+00—$116,+00 CAD
