Summary
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in accounting principles and a proven track record of handling a wide range of financial tasks. You will be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, reconciling bank statements, and ensuring the integrity of accounting information by verifying and entering transactions.
What You’ll Do
• Execute month-end closing tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses promptly
• Perform balance sheet account reconciliations
• Support fixed asset acquisitions and record-keeping in Sage system, managing documentation and system entries for new assets and disposals
• Reconcile bank statements, monitor check clearings, analyze cash flow
• Review and update standard costs monthly
• Prepare financial statements with commentary and operational reports
• Provide support for both internal and external operational and financial audits
• Proactively seek out and implement automation and process improvements, maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
• Serve as a backup for Accounts Payable and Receivable processes
What You’ll Bring (requirements)
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 2 years of relevant accounting experience
• Proficiency in an ERP environment and Microsoft Office Suite

• Extensive experience with month end closing process
• Able to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgements
• Able to perform complex tasks and prioritize multiple projects
• Able to provide technical advice and information to internal customers

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Information research skills
Language Skills
The ability to read, write, and verbally communicate effectively in the English language is required for all roles.
Required Safety Equipment/Training
AGC follows all required OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) standard industry guidelines in-regards to the use of personal protective equipment and safety training required for the specific job function.
