The Team
The Developer AI team is on a mission to supercharge the productivity, creativity, and satisfaction of our engineering teams by embedding AI capabilities into our internal developer tools and workflows. We build smart assistants, automation systems, and intelligent insights that redefine what’s possible in the software development lifecycle.
The Role
At the JET platform engineering department we are looking for the one who can help us create an exceptional developer experience and take our developer platform to the next level.

As a Staff Engineer, you’ll lead technical strategy and architecture across key platform initiatives, with a focus on AI-powered developer solutions and tooling. You’ll partner with engineering leadership, guide technical execution, and mentor engineers—while staying hands-on and close to the code.
These are some of the key ingredients to the role:
Design, build, and maintain scalable AI-powered developer tools and services
Lead the architecture for LLM integration, prompt frameworks, and vector-based search systems
Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to define technical solutions
Champion engineering excellence, setting patterns, reviewing critical code, and enabling high-velocity teams
Integrate LLMs (like OpenAI, Claude, or open-source alternatives) into developer workflows
Experience building Agentic AI solutions in production environments
Experiment with prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, and fine-tuning techniques
Drive initiatives to improve developer velocity, quality, and satisfaction
Act as a multiplier: mentor, unblock, and elevate others across engineering
Stay current with advances in AI, developer tooling, and software engineering best practices
What will you bring to the table?
Deep Experience in software engineering, with a track record of leading high-impact projects
Proficiency in languages like Python, C#, or Java
Experience with AWS and containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
Expert with REST/gRPC APIs and event-driven systems
Excellent system design skills and experience architecting complex distributed systems
Exposure to LLM APIs, vector databases, and basic ML concepts
Experience with building Agentic AI solutions
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Passion for developer experience and building tools that engineers love.
Proven experience mentoring engineers and influencing beyond your immediate team
Nice-to-Haves:
Hands-on experience with OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, or similar frameworks
Background in AWS AI ecosystem and tools like Bedrock
Experience with GitHub copilot or similar
Contributions to open-source developer tools or AI projects
