Simpl proves a full-stack solution for e-commerce conversion. It enables merchants to give customers 1-click checkout, buyer protection, and a pay-later facility to allow them to feel safe and trusted when shopping online. Through Simpl, merchants can provide consumers with an easy, secure, and intuitive user experience.
Everyone at Simpl is an internal entrepreneur who is given a lot of bandwidth and resources to create the next breakthrough towards the long term vision of “making money Simpl”. Our first product is a payment platform that lets people buy instantly, anywhere online, and pay later. In the background, Simpl uses big data for credit underwriting, risk and fraud modeling, all without any paperwork, and enables Banks and Non-Bank Financial Companies to access a whole new consumer market.
We follow microservices and event-sourcing. We use ECS, RDS, Cloudformation etc. for our service deployments and EMR, Redshift for big data analytics and ML. Our data pipeline is built using Python. We use AMQP, Kafka as message brokers and streaming platforms.
Must have:
Problem-solving and communication skills
Understanding Linux fundamentals
Good understanding of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, Firewalls/WAF, VPN, routing tables etc.)
Proven experience in infrastructure-as-code with Terraform/CloudFormation & continuous delivery
Proficient in infrastructure programming and debugging using bash and python (awscli, boto, troposphere)
The expertise of AWS ecosystem (EC2, S3, VPC, ALB, SG)
Experience in managing AWS Organizations
Experience in building and deploying applications in Docker containers
Good understanding of container orchestrators such as ECS, Kubernetes or Docker Swarm
Experience in monitoring production systems using tools like Prometheus
Experience in setting up and managing logging infrastructure based on ELK/Graylog etc
Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD infrastructure and pipelines
Basic understanding of 12-factor apps
At Simpl, you will:
You’ll be responsible for architecting infrastructure solutions.
Develop and contribute to several infrastructure improvement projects around performance, security and cost-optimisation
Continuously add features to cloudlift, our open source tool for infra management
Be responsible for 24x7 infrastructure monitoring
You’ll contribute to enhancing the security controls in the infrastructure and applications.
You’ll champion adoption of new tools across the organisation
