Position Title: Staff Software Engineer – Mobile iOS
About the Role
We are looking for a talented and experienced native iOS Engineer to join our growing mobile engineering team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge native Android applications and SDKs. You will be involved in the entire app lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, release, and post-launch support of an array of medical and lifestyle software products. The ideal candidate is a passionate developer with a strong portfolio of Android apps and a deep understanding of the modern Android ecosystem.
Job Description:
Roles & responsibilities:
• Designs/develops software solutions and business process solutions based on business needs and requirements using specialized domain knowledge and developed business expertise
• Analyses user requirement/needs and makes decisions considering the nature of project.
• Participates in software design for features and bug fixes independently.
• Leads projects and programs within own organization with moderate complexity, scope, with guidance from manager
• Provides technical expertise on the team; analyses and evaluates code issues and makes decisions within general parameters under broad supervision
• Focus on quality in all aspects of work; follows established standards of excellence
• Contributes to team activities and collaborates within the team and dependent project areas to solve problems.
• Has good understanding of quality standards and work required minimal revision
Experience Required:
• ++ years of hands-on experience in mobile and web software development using Swift, iOS SDK, UIKit, SwiftUI, React Native, JavaScript/TypeScript, and WebViews, building scalable and user-centric applications.
• Deep expertise in modern architectural patterns including MVVM, MVI, Composable Architecture, modularization, uni-directional data flow, dependency injection, and implementing offline-first strategies using Core Data or Realm.
• Extensive experience in designing and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs in microservices-based architectures, with a strong emphasis on performance, security, and scalability.
• Proven track record in implementing and maintaining automated unit, UI, and snapshot testing suites using XCTest, XCUITest, SwiftUI previews, Appium, and accessibility testing frameworks to drive high test coverage and CI quality gates.
• Broad experience with CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Bitrise, and Fastlane for automating builds, testing, and deployments
• Strong security background including implementation of OAuth flows, biometric authentication, secure Keychain storage, App Transport Security (ATS), and end-to-end certificate and signing management.
• Broad experience in advanced performance tuning using Xcode Instruments for memory leak detection, CPU profiling, battery optimization, and frame rendering diagnostics.
• Practical experience integrating APM solutions like Dynatrace and AppDynamics, to monitor user behavior, app crashes, and latency across critical app flows.
• Deep understanding of push notification systems (APNs), rich push formats, silent/background notifications, deep linking, and universal links for engagement and retention strategies.
• Strong proficiency in developing hybrid app flows with WKWebView and bridging React Native modules with custom native Swift implementations.
• Proactive use of AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot to enhance developer productivity and maintain code quality.
• Broad experience leading Agile teams and delivering full software development lifecycle (SDLC) projects with continuous delivery and iteration in cross-functional environments.
