What you’ll do
Qualification GNM or B.Sc. Nursing
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES OF STAFF NURSE
Staff Nurse is a First Level Professional Nurse who provides direct patient care to one patient or group of patients assigned to her/him during duty Shift and assists in management of wards. She/he is directly responsible to Senior Staff-Nurse of ward in-charge Nurse/Nursing Superintendent.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF STAFF-NURSE
1) To ensure cleaning & dusting.
2) Medication administration & collection.
3) Patient Care:
a. Dress changing.
b. Oral care.
c. Back care.
d. Bowl & Ladder care.
4) Monitoring patient vitals & urine output or dry the drain output.
5) Feeding & monitoring of feeding (Supplementation and nutritional therapy)
6) Staff Education.
7) Accompanying infection during rounds.
8) Implementing infection control practices.
+) Maintaining Air Mattresses.
10) To maintenance of intake & output chart.
11) Observes change in patients conditions & records.
12) Collection & sending specimen pre & post-operative care assists in administration of transfusion, perineal care, baby care etc.
13) To complete admission and discharge formalities of the patients after permission of the doctor.
14) It is also mandatory to remove by the means of transfer out/discharge/LAMA/death immediately so that false data may not display on dashboard.
DIRECT PATIENT CARE
1. To carry out the procedure of admission and discharge of the patient.
2. To arrange proper bed for patients and helps or guides students or Ward Boy & Ayas to make beds properly.
3. To maintain Hygiene and comforts of the patients.
4. To maintain clean and hygiene environment of the ward.
5. To ensure the fulfillment of the nutritional needs of the patients.
6. To maintain ward policies and routines
