Full Job Description
Ø Admission and discharge of patients.
Ø Efficient nursing care, comfort of patients, administration of Drugs and treatment, Observation and recording.
Ø Assistant to medical staff in examination of patient and treatment.
Ø Rounds with medical staff.
Ø Assistant at or supervision of clinical investigation, pre-operative and post-operative care.
Ø Maintenance of patient records.
Ø Followings of prescribe rules regarding accident or death of a patient.
Ø Giving and receiving report.
Ø Information to relatives and friends.
Ø Information to Nsg In charge of any special emergency in the ward/ICU.
Ø Responsible that ensuring that a quality of nursing care is delivered within a framework of agreed standard.
Ø Participate in covering the rota for uncovered shift so that continuity of care can be provide to the service users within the hospital.
Ø Will requires a high degree of concentration due to dispensing correct drugs and dosage whilst working within a demanding area.
Ø Administer medicines as prescribed.
Ø Ensure the maintenance of accurate records, having due regard to legal aspects and confidentially requirement.
Ø Be coversant with fire, health and safety, infection control, first aid and accident policies and procedure.
Ø Ensure the safe use of equipment by yourself and others. Reporting of poor practices to enable staff to be referred for further training.
