Job Description
Register patients and verify consent forms.
Record vital signs (height, weight, pulse, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, blood sugar, temperature).
Conduct preliminary health assessments and triaging.
Assist in collecting family history and medical history.
Support doctors in medical consultations.
2. Medical Support & Treatment
Administer prescribed medicines, injections, or vaccinations as advised by the doctor.
Assist in minor procedures (dressing wounds, first aid, etc.).
Collect, label, and store biological samples (blood/urine) properly for transport to labs.
Ensure cold chain maintenance where applicable (e.g., insulin, vaccines).
3. Documentation & Reporting
Maintain patient records and camp registers.
Record medicines dispensed and stock used.
Prepare daily camp reports for submission to the supervisor.
Track staff on duty and note contributions for recognition.
4. Camp Logistics & Coordination
Ensure all medical supplies and equipment are available at camp site.
Maintain infection control, waste segregation, and biomedical waste disposal as per norms.
Supervise proper storage and timely transport of samples to central office/lab.
Support camp setup (registration desk, consultation space, pharmacy, etc.).
5. Community Engagement
Educate patients on disease prevention, medication adherence, and lifestyle modifications.
Support awareness sessions on diabetes, hypertension, nutrition, hygiene, etc.
Provide health counseling and referral guidance.
6. Emergency Preparedness
Respond to medical emergencies during camp (basic life support, first aid, referral).
Coordinate with ambulance and higher facilities in case of emergency referrals.
