Job Description:
As a Staff Nurse in the ward at BLK Max Super Speciality Hospital, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and comprehensive care of our patients. Your responsibilities will include providing orientation to new patients, performing medical and surgical nursing procedures adhering to NABH requirements, and maintaining a clean and secure environment for patients.
Responsibilities:
• Orient new patients to the ward and ensure their comfort.
• Perform medical and surgical nursing procedures in compliance with NABH standards.
• Complete Medical and Surgical checklists for thorough patient care.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
• Coordinate patient care with the healthcare team.
• Follow doctors' rounds and promptly carry out orders and instructions.
• Administer medication with proper precautions, such as checking blood sugar before insulin administration.
• Conduct double checks before administering narcotic drugs and blood transfusions.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition.
• Provide special care and precautions for vulnerable patients.
• Impart health education based on patient diagnosis and needs.
• Follow infection control and waste management practices.
• Respond promptly to patients' call bells.
• Conduct daily equipment and drug inventory and maintain records.
• Foster good interpersonal relationships with nurse administrators, senior staff, juniors, and students.
Requirements:
• Nursing degree/diploma from a recognized institution.
• 1 - 5 years of experience in medical or surgical nursing.
• Strong understanding of NABH standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and follow prescribed protocols.
• Knowledge of infection control and waste management practices.
