Job Profile
As a Staff Nurse, you will play a key role in coordinating and delivering quality standards of nursing care following a patient-centred model of practice. You will work closely with senior and junior staff to ensure that patients receive the best possible care.
Key Duties
Taking responsibility for individualised patient care, working closely with consultants, nursing colleagues and clerical staff.
Ensuring legibility and accuracy of nursing records and being aware of the legal implications of these documents.
Providing excellent evidence-based care for patients.
Coordinating and assisting Minor Gynaec/Colposcopy/Hysteroscopy/ENT Clinics independently.
Maintaining mandatory updates and external training as appropriate.
Communicating effectively with colleagues and patients.
Participating in departmental meetings to enhance team communication.
Requirements
A minimum of 3 years surgical experience in at least one specific surgical specialty, ideally Gynaecology, ENT/Dermatology or Colorectal.
Proven experience in wound management.
Competence in removal of all types of sutures, clips and aseptic dressings.
ILS/BLS certificate.
Ability to prioritise and coordinate own workload.
Good verbal and written communication skills in clear spoken English.
Good PC skills.
Level 1 RN with revalidation in place.
NMC registered.
