Job Description
We are seeking a Staff Salesforce Developer (Commerce Cloud) to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-level e-commerce solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), strong architectural skills, and a proven track record of delivering robust, scalable, and high-performing web applications. As a senior technical leader, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create exceptional online shopping experiences for our customers.
Responsibilities
• Solution Architecture & Design
• Lead the architectural design for Salesforce Commerce Cloud implementations, ensuring high scalability, performance, and security.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX/UI Designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Technical Leadership & Implementation
• Oversee the end-to-end implementation of SFCC, including data models, storefront setup, and system configurations.
• Write, review, and maintain high-quality code in alignment with best practices and company standards.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Conduct code reviews and introduce best practices to maintain optimal code performance and reliability.
• Integration & Customization
• Integrate SFCC with internal and third-party systems such as CRM, ERP, payment gateways, analytics, and marketing automation tools.
• Develop custom SFCC cartridges and services to support unique business requirements and workflows.
• Governance & Compliance
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., PCI-DSS for payment data).
• Establish and maintain documentation, coding standards, and version control procedures for reliable releases.
• Innovation & Continuous Improvement
• Stay up to date on Salesforce Commerce Cloud features, e-commerce trends, and emerging technologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve development processes and the overall platform ecosystem.
Technical Skills
• Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Expertise
• In-depth experience with SFCC (e.g., Business Manager, Storefront Reference Architecture [SFRA], OCAPI, Page Designer).
• Proven ability to develop custom cartridges, manage site configurations, and leverage SFCC-specific APIs.
• Salesforce Ecosystem Proficiency
• Familiarity with Salesforce Core clouds (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and understanding of their data models.
• Experience with Marketing Cloud (or Pardot) for integrations like email campaigns and journey building.
• Knowledge of Salesforce Order Management (OMS) and CRM data flows.
• Comfortable using Salesforce development tools (Salesforce CLI, Visual Studio Code extensions, DevOps Center, etc.).
• Understanding of Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components (LWCs) for broader Salesforce integrations.
• Integration & Architecture
• Skilled in designing RESTful APIs and microservices architecture for seamless integrations with external systems (e.g., ERP, payment gateways, fulfillment providers).
• Experience with identity and access management solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem (e.g., Salesforce Identity, SSO).
• DevOps & CI/CD
• Proficiency in Git-based version control systems (GitHub) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
• Knowledge of code deployment processes and environment management within Salesforce.
• Performance, Security & Compliance
• Strong expertise in performance tuning, caching strategies, and site optimization for SFCC and Salesforce.
• Deep knowledge of industry security standards (PCI-DSS) and Salesforce security best practices (e.g., Shield, encryption).
• Preferred Certifications
• Salesforce Certified B2C Commerce Developer or Salesforce Certified B2C Solution Architect.
