You’ll be in the Home Buying Manage & Own Crew, responsible for the in-life experience of our Home Loan customers, building a brighter future for all by unlocking the dream of Home Ownership for all Australians, and providing them with the best experience.
As a Staff Engineer in the Home Buying Domain , you will play a pivotal role in leading the technical vision, strategy, and execution of customer-facing & internal tools and applications that empower our customers and lenders to make informed decisions with confidence when looking to buy a property.
You’ll work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to deliver seamless, intuitive experiences that demystify the complexities of home ownership. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll guide a talented team of engineers, foster a culture of technical excellence, and drive innovation across our platform.

Define and drive the technical roadmap for team that support the home buying journey.
Lead the design of scalable, secure, and maintainable systems with a secure-by-design mindset .
Are confident in their solution design capabilities, stakeholder engagement and leading technical conversations in group forums & can lead and nurture our engineers to do the same.
Show the ability to collaborate, present ideas, influence, and challenge stakeholders.
Actively are involved in continuous learning, experimentation, and innovation, ready to apply and promote
Technical Skills
We use a broad range of tools, languages, and frameworks. We don’t expect you to know them all but experience or exposure with some of these will set you up for success in this team:
Developing 3-tier application both on-premises and on cloud covering:
Frontend: React, Typescript, Next.js (preferred).
Backend: .Net core, C#, Java, Node.js.
Database: SQL and NoSQL experience (both admin and usage).
Scripting languages (i.e., TypeScript, Go, Python, GraphQL).
CI/CD tools (i.e., GitHub Actions, TeamCity, Octopus).
Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, Pulumi, CloudFormation.
Infrastructure as a Code framework: SST essential.
Automation Quality Engineering (Unit Testing, Regression Testing).
Solution design with a secure-by-design approach.
