Position Summary
Appen is on the lookout for a seasoned Staff Software Engineer to join our rapidly expanding team. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will leverage your deep technical expertise and leadership skills to drive the development of cutting-edge software solutions that will shape the future of AI and machine learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Architect, design, and develop sophisticated software applications using technologies such as Python, Java, or C++.
Oversee the full lifecycle of software development, from conceptualization to deployment and maintenance.
Collaborate closely with product managers, data scientists, and other engineers to deliver robust, scalable, and secure software solutions.
Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex software issues to ensure optimal system performance and reliability.
Champion the adoption of best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
Translate strategic business needs into practical architecture and budgeting to develop high-quality software solutions.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master's Degree or higher is preferred.
7+ years of experience in software development.
Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
Deep understanding of advanced algorithms, data structures, and software design principles.
Experience with AI and machine learning technologies is highly desirable.
Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Outstanding communication and leadership skills, with a proven track record of mentoring and guiding teams.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
