About this role
We are seeking a Staff Software Engineer with 7–8+ years of experience to architect the core intelligence behind the product. In this role, you will design and scale systems for data ingestion, ranking, personalization, and model orchestration, delivering high-quality, tailored results for venture capital customers.
You will also lead experimentation with agentic systems and LLM-driven evaluation, advancing production-grade AI capabilities and helping define the next generation of intelligent software.
What will you be doing?
• Architect and scale the end-to-end sourcing engine, including data ingestion, ranking, personalization, and model orchestration.
• Develop robust frameworks for retrieval, reranking, and LLM-driven evaluation.
• Lead technical exploration of emerging technologies such as memory systems, schema design, prompt libraries, and agentic frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design to deliver intuitive, high-performance LLM-powered sourcing experiences.
• Mentor engineers and elevate standards across system design, documentation, and technical decision-making.

• Shape and execute the product vision in partnership with Product and Design, enabling customers to effectively discover start-ups.
• Translate customer needs into innovative features and services that enhance overall user experience.
• Take end-to-end ownership across the stack, proactively identifying and resolving issues to maximize customer value.
