What will you do :
• Primary responsibilities and skills include the following areas:
• Must have worked on Android TV STB and have good Android TV/ AOSP framework,
• Middleware knowledge.
• Must have good background and participated in all stages of STB product lifecycle right from inception, board bring up, Build configuration, Feature development, Certifications.
• Deployment and Maintenance.
• Must have good working knowledge on Video domain and related areas.
• Take active part & contribute in all stages of product development from design, development , review and testing.
• Provide direction to other junior Engineers on various technical aspects and mentor them.
• Timely reporting to upper Management on Status, Risks, Dependencies and participate actively in review meetings.
• Capable of owning modules independently.
• Capable of working on Design and Architecture along with the Architect for the team. Must be able to communicate effectively scope of work, risks and provide input to planning.
What makes you a great fit:
• 4-year college degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, Electronics, Bachelor of Science preferred, Master’s degree is Plus.
• Around 10 years of experience with the majority of those being in the Video domain and preferably played the role of Technical lead for some of the activities.
• Good experience in Embedded Systems development for Consumer Electronics products.
• proficiency with C, C++, Java.
• Good knowledge of Android TV/ AOSP build system, Framework, Certifications and Android ecosystem.
• Working knowledge of Multimedia/Streaming frameworks like HLS, DASH.
• Very good understanding of Video delivery mechanism over Satellite, Cable, IP.
• Experience with Agile methodologies/DevOps environments, GiT/GitLab,GitHub.
• Very good communication skills.
• Cloud development experience is a Plus.
• Have good working knowledge of STB and Video domain, MPEG technology, ATV/AOSP framework.
• Programming Languages - C,C++, Java, JS and OS - Linux, RTOS, Android. Must be capable of owning deliverables independently and play a Technical lead role for the team
