We are seeking a Staff Engineer to join our Labor Management Systems team, a group dedicated to developing cutting-edge solutions that simplify and optimize restaurant labor management. This role is pivotal in architecting, developing, and refining technologies that tackle the complex challenges faced by our clients, including workforce management, scheduling, and payroll systems. What You Will Do: ● Technical Leadership: Play a lead role in the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance labor management solutions. Your expertise will guide the development of systems that are resilient, efficient, and adaptable to the needs of small businesses and restaurants. ● Innovate: Research and apply advanced algorithms, data structures, and design patterns to solve challenging problems related to labor optimization, scheduling efficiency, and payroll accuracy. ● Collaborate: Work closely with product managers, UX designers, and other engineers to define technical requirements, assess feasibility, and implement high-impact features. Your input will be crucial in the product development lifecycle, from conception to deployment. ● Code Excellence: Maintain high coding standards and practices, including thorough code reviews, writing comprehensive tests, and documenting architecture decisions and code. ● Drive Technology Adoption: Evaluate and advocate for the use of new technologies, tools, and engineering practices that can enhance the development and performance of our labor management systems. Desired Qualifications: ● Strong foundational knowledge in computer science, with expertise in data structures, algorithms, and software design principles. ● Proficiency in our core technologies: PHP, Laravel, Golang, MySQL, Kubernetes, Elastic Beanstalk, and AWS, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies as needed. ● At least 10 years of experience in software development, with a track record of contributing to complex, high-quality software projects. ● Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges, with innovative solutions that have been successfully deployed in production environments. ● Excellent problem-solving skills, with a methodical approach to debugging and troubleshooting. ● Strong communication skills, capable of articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
