We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role
10+ years working in modern engineering practices focused on continuous integration and quality engineering
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
Strong computer science fundamentals
While we do not mind what language you have most recently been using we are using Java or Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot
Exposure working on high volume distributed systems
Hands on experience with event driven architectures
Experience with operational tooling such as New Relic, StatsD, Elk, Datadog, Prometheus Flexibility to work across global timezones required

About The Team
A key part of Airwallex’s suite of Business Account software, the Cards team are revolutionizing the way businesses issue credit cards and manage expenses for their employees. This team solves complex challenges around the growing demands of data and feature complexity in credit cards and expenses, and they work at the exciting intersection of our backend infrastructure and customer facing applications, working on distributed systems that manage millions of transactions.
What You’ll Do
While you are a technically strong engineer who is still passionate about writing code, your leadership skills, product thinking and business acumen are what really sets you apart. You will be accountable for the overall quality and delivery of multiple engineering streamlines within the Budget and Expense Management team.

Minimum Qualifications
• 10+ years working in modern engineering practices focused on continuous integration and quality engineering.
• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or a closely related field.
• Strong computer science fundamentals. While we do not mind what language you have most recently been using we are using Java or Kotlin, Spring / Spring Boot.
• Exposure working on high volume distributed systems
• Hands on experience with event driven architectures
• Experience with operational tooling such as New Relic, StatsD, Elk, Datadog, Prometheus Flexibility to work across global timezones required
Preferred Qualifications
• GCP experience preferred, but AWS (EC2, RDS, ELB, CloudFront etc) with docker and Kubernetes is great too.
• Previous experience in FinTech a plus.
