Gilbarco is a leading global supplier of fuel dispensing equipment, fully integrated point of sale systems for the global petroleum marketplace with sales, manufacturing, research, development, and service locations in North and South America, Europe, Asia, the Pacific Rim and Australia.
Purpose of Position: This role will drive software development and quality for Point of Sale and payment solutions. He/She will be a part of global North America team for core design, development.
Project is for a Retail and Payment domain point of sale(POS) product. This product is used in 50000 sites in North America market and is enhancing and supporting by 13 scrum teams around 3 geographic locations(India- Mumbai, USA - Greensboro, Argentina Buenos Aires).

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and Develop software for Point of Sale – core and feature enhancement
• Port legacy code/applications and modules to new platform
• Verify and validate platform against legacy performance and full operating conditions
• Deliver quality applications as per company standards
• Should be able to technically guide the development team
• Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
• Conduct design and code review to ensure compliance with standards
• Help team in technical issues and work with GSO/BA SMEs for solution designs.
Education & Experience: The ideal candidate will have
Total Experience in years: 12-15 yrs.
Graduation/ Degree: BE/BTech or Master
Background and Skills: The ideal candidate will have
• A minimum of 12 years of experience as a C# programmer or developer with HTML5 and CSS
• Familiarity with the .NET framework (.NET 4.5 and higher) and .Net Core
• Solid grasp and fluent in common design patterns
• Knowledge of Socket programming, Multithreading, RPC, Data Encryption
• Experience in POS solution Development or Payment solutions or both.
• Knowledge of SQL databases
• Experience in Jira, Agile, Scrum, Git, Visual Studio IDE.
• Excellent troubleshooting and communication skill
•Work as part of a dynamic team throughout the software development life cycle
