Job Description
The Compute, Foundations , Network, Cloud and Cadence team works on core components/platforms/services on which all other systems at Uber are built on. We power the infrastructure brain that runs all of Uber.
As a Staff Software Engineer, you will drive some of the most complex technical initiatives end-to-end to help Uber run across multiple public clouds and private data centers in most effective and seamless manner.
- What the Candidate Will Do -
• Serve as project architect, understanding stakeholder needs and trade-offs of various options, and making significant improvements in quality, reliability, scalability, or stability. Assist in the roadmap definition for your area.
• Demonstrate technical skills to go very deep or broad in solving classes of problems or creating broadly leverageable solutions.
• Collaborate with other talented team members within your group or across teams, smart technologists across product lines, to responsible leaders across Uber.
• Build up strong relationships with people in the organization, meaningfully collaborating and building trust
• Be a coach and mentor for your talented team members. Deal with a difference in opinions in a mature and fair way, helping teams to commit and move forward
