Job Description
OVERVIEW:
The Staffing Coordinator for Nursing Services will be responsible for the design and implementation of staffing patterns for professional and nonprofessional nursing employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Establishes staffing patterns and schedules for nurses and nursing assistants
Works with human resources to advise them of staffing needs, terminations, and other information necessary for the smooth flow of work regarding employees
Interprets human resource policies for nursing staff
Participates in in-service training
Assists in securing staff for absences, leaves, etc., adjusting schedules as required
Maintains records on vacations, sick leave, leaves of absence, holidays, excused and unexcused absences, and recommends appropriate action
Assists in administering the uniform policy for the facility
Works with the Director of Nursing to schedule training classes
Assist in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) process
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Must be proficient in Excel and Word)
Scheduling program (SmartLinx) experience preferred
Knowledge of AHCA Regulations required
Must possess sensitivity in understanding employees' needs while maintaining a sense of balance to ensure that staffing requirements are met for the facility
