About the Role:
StafGo Health is hiring a highly skilled
Medical Coder
with extensive experience in
oral and maxillofacial surgery . The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures for oral and maxillofacial surgeries, ensuring proper reimbursement and compliance with healthcare regulations. Role start as contract but can lead to full time position.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform accurate coding of oral and maxillofacial surgery procedures using
CPT ,
ICD-10 , and
HCPCS
codes.
• Ensure proper coding for complex surgical and medical procedures within the maxillofacial specialty.
• Collaborate with the billing team to resolve coding discrepancies and issues.
• Ensure compliance with medical insurance guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain a high level of accuracy in coding and meet productivity standards.
• Review patient records and supporting documentation to assign the most accurate codes.
• Participate in regular audits to ensure compliance with coding practices and regulations.
Requirements:
• Minimum of 5+ years of
medical coding
experience, with specific expertise in
oral and maxillofacial surgery
coding.
• In-depth knowledge of
CPT ,
ICD-10 , and
HCPCS
codes for oral and maxillofacial surgery.
• Proficiency in coding software and tools.
• Strong understanding of insurance protocols and claims requirements for maxillofacial procedures.
• Ability to analyze and interpret complex medical documentation for accurate coding.
• Excellent communication skills in English (written and verbal).
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certification such as
CPC
(Certified Professional Coder) or similar is a plus.
• Experience working with oral surgery clients or within the maxillofacial surgery specialty.
